Medienforschungsschwerpunkte im Jahr 2017 / Research Areas for the year 2017

Immersion is the term that has gained much currency in recent years, yet its history is one dominated by an ocular emphasis, visuality and visual stimulation also being of main importance in the world of computer gaming. In the research for this year's Interaktionsllabor,we will not touch upon games but explore an expanded, multi-sensorial sense of immersion that engages theatrical and architectural design ideas.

<br> Atmospheres of choreographic design and participation are the ground on which we had begun to pursue questions about immersion, starting in 2015 during the international co-productions of the European METABODY project.
