Marion Tränkle
is an artist and designer who draws on her training and professional experience
in media art,
architecture and choreography/performance.
To develop her work
she often engages in conceptual strategies that arise out of interdisciplinary
contexts and involve collaboration with
other artists, engineers and designers. Her work has been featured in group
shows in the visual art context as well as in dance and theatre
performances throughout Europe.
Her artistic work[to date 2004]includes:
- Interactive installations/live performance:
Never stand still (2003) (www.interact-in-space.net), The enigmatic Operetta
2003, Weather in the box (2002).
- Dance film:
When she jumps... (2000), www.webdans.nl, prize in the competition for short
dance films on Internet, NPS Television.
- Stage and on-site performances:
Dedicated to her (2001), Room No 23 (2000), Hinterhaus Productions (1999),
Pfefferberg - 6x2 Wege in situ (1997), bei acht dreimal aussetzen, (1997);
Her work has been shown at theatres and festivals.Her architectural work encompasses
the whole process from design to site supervision. She worked in Germany as
well as in the Netherlands and collaborated with various offices such as:
ArupLighting; EXP; Hollands Licht; Ria Smit architecten; popp.planungen; Archimedes;
Beckman Mohr Winterer. Recently she focuses on light design for public buildings.
